I am a practitioner of Chinese Medicine bodywork, ICF certified Coach, EUY certified Yoga teacher, dancer and improvisation teacher. With a degree in Architecture, I was working as a designer, consultant, and project manager both in Italy and abroad.
Born in Livorno, a city in front of the sea, I grew up playing competitive basketball from ages 6 to 18. After completing his scientific high school education, I went to study in Florence, where I stayed for over 15 years. After graduating in Architecture, I began working, but soon started my journey in international cooperation. I volunteered in Ecuador, then pursued a MA in Project Management in Developing Countries. I wrote projects for Palestine and worked as an expatriate cooperator in Nicaragua. In 2005, I went to Sri Lanka right after the Tsunami, where I stayed for a year working as a project manager for a major resettlement project in collaboration with UN-Habitat.
Parallel to my university studies, I began practicing yoga, which I studied for years and eventually became a certified teacher. I taught Yoga for many years in the cities where he lived: Livorno, Florence, Bologna, Pisa, Sevilla, Berlin. Moving frequently, I never had his own place to develop a school, which, I eventually realized, was beneficial for me.
I have been practicing Meditation for 15 years, following both Buddhist and Taoist traditions. I attended numerous meditation retreats in Italy, India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Every year, I dedicate time to self-retreats in various Buddhist monasteries. Dance then captured my heart; I began studying contemporary dance and improvisation. After several years of study and workshops throughout Europe (including somatic practices, Butoh, and martial arts), I began participating in theatre and site-specific performances and teaching Contact Improvisation and Improvisation. Together with two friends, I founded the Italian Contact Improvisation festival, Italycontactfest, which reached its 12th edition in 2024.
I conduct workshops on somatic movement, meditation, and breath awareness, with a primary focus on cultivating awareness. In 2014, I was invited to teach a program on somatic movement awareness to the trainers at the ECC Coaching School. This opportunity led me to pursue and complete a Coaching training program, eventually becoming a certified Coach.
Since 2008, I have deepened my practice of Tai Chi and Qigong and studied Taoist foot massage (On Zon Su) under my master, Dr. Ming Wong CY, I then attended the acupuncture school in Florence, where I graduated as a Tuina practitioner, specialising in the therapeutic massage of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Over the last 10 years, I have treated clients with Chinese Medicine in various private clinics in Bologna, Berlin, Florence, Livorno, and Pontedera. From the beginning, I integrated my Coaching skills to foster a deeper connection with my clients. Some clients requested dedicated Coaching sessions on specific topics discussed during bodywork sessions. Thus, Coaching became an integral part of my work in wellness, with a focus on awareness and principles derived from Buddhism and Taoism.
Today, Chinese Medicine, Taoist practices and Coaching are my main areas of interest and work, along with teaching movement and improvisation practices and organising international events through the brand Italycontactfest. In recent years, I have divided my time between Italy and Thailand.
