CHINESE MEDICINE
Chinese Medicine ia an holistic approach to health that has been practiced for thousands of years. It encompasses various treatments such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Tuina massage, focusing on balancing the body’s energy (Qi) to promote healing and prevent illness.
Chinese Medicine can help in addressing various types of disharmony that may manifest as symptoms such as:
- Weak immune system
- Hypo/hypertension
- Cervical, lumbar, and shoulder pain, including sciatica
- ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
- Migraines
- Sexual dysfunction
- Digestive disorders
- Fatigue/low energy
- Sleep disorders
- Asthma/respiratory disorders
In my sessions, I integrate and customize different methods of Chinese Medicine, tailored to each individual’s unique constitution and specific health concerns. The treatments aim to address the root causes of imbalances rather than merely treating symptoms, promoting overall well-being and harmony within the body.
TUINA
Tuina is a form of Chinese therapeutic massage that involves the manipulation of the body’s soft tissues and acupressure points. It is used to promote the flow of Qi and blood, relieve muscle tension, and address musculoskeletal issues. Tuina is often employed alongside acupuncture for a holistic approach to healing.
MOXIBUSTION
Moxibustion involves burning dried Artemisia leaf (moxa) near specific acupuncture points. This practice aims to stimulate and invigorate the flow of Qi, promoting healing and balancing the body’s energy. Moxibustion is often used to address conditions related to cold or dampness, as it introduces warmth to the body. It is employed for a variety of health concerns, including pain management, digestive issues, and reproductive health.
NEEDLING
Needling involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow, known as Qi. This practice is based on the concept that imbalances in the flow of Qi can lead to illness or discomfort. Needling is widely used for pain management, promoting overall health, and addressing specific health issues.
ON ZON SU
Chinese foot massage, often referred to as reflexology or foot reflexology, is a therapeutic practice rooted in Chinese Medicine. On Zon Su is based on the belief that various points on the feet correspond to specific organs and systems in the body. By applying pressure to these reflex points, practitioners aim to promote overall well-being and balance the body’s energy.
GUA SHA
Gua Sha is a scraping technique that involves using a smooth-edged instrument to rub the skin. This practice is believed to promote blood circulation, release toxins, and alleviate various health issues, including pain and inflammation.
SEVEN STAR HAMMER
Seven Star Hammer a small tool with multiple needles at its head also known as Plum blossom hammer. It is used for a technique called “plum blossom tapping” or “seven-star needling.” Lightly tapping the skin’s surface with the plum blossom hammer stimulate acupuncture points, promoting blood circulation and energy flow.
